Escape The Anonymous

Escape the Anonymous is an event organized by diploma students of IACT College. The reason behind this event is due to the fact that teenagers in this day and age lack proper knowledge regarding online anonymity which in return heightened the cases of cyberbullying by day. Moreover, we realised that the growth of a teenager will be massively affected and the result will indeed cause a huge impact to themselves in the future which sparked the intention of this campaign.

The goal of our event is to educate and create awareness among the public about the negative effects of anonymous cyberbullying and its impact on society. Other than that, we also aimed to create awareness among the public about the importance of having a safe and healthy environment online. There were 5 interactive game booths for visitors to explore during the event day. Namely: Negative Space, Breakaway, Behind the Screen, Go Fish, and Welcome to the Kitchen.

As gender stereotyping has persisted in this society, whether online or in real life, the goal of this game is to disprove this stereotype by demonstrating that not only women are capable of cooking. Participants were required to assemble egg mayo sandwiches in under 2 minutes, and a scoreboard will be used to record winners from each round in order to determine which gender performed the best overall. There were also anonymous distractions interspersed throughout the competition.
