IKIGAI 4.0
Ikigai is a movement started by a group of IACT College students on 20th of October 2016 with the purpose of uniting nature-loving people from all walks of life to protect our world. The japanese word ‘Ikigai,’ pronounced [ikigai], refers to the concept of having a feeling of direction. To one’s self, others and the community as a whole. The term also refers to a person’s reason for being, what motivates them to get out of bed in the morning, what they live for as well as their motivation, passion and purpose in life.

We have shifted our focus for IKIGAI 4.0, in which we focus more on helping people in need. The beneficiaries for our movement this time is the children from Sekolah Alternatif & Borneo Komrad. We will be helding a flea market in IACT compound and a skill sharing session online to educate children.
FLEA MARKET
Our flea market focuses mainly on selling pre-loved items that are still in good condition and can be useful to others. Rather than spending money on buying new items for the flea market, we have collected pre-loved items from college students that they don’t really need rather than simply just throwing them away. We also have other booths for the flea market, such as a busking booth, a PS5 gameplay booth, and a food and beverage booth.
SKILL SHARE
On the other hand, we also had a skill sharing session with the kids from Sekolah Alternatif to teach them some basic skills. We hope that through this skill sharing session, the kids will be able to learn new things and skill that they can apply in the future. The classes that we have prepared for the kids are English Class, Art Class and Science Class.
