Nasi Campur Project
The Nasi Campur Project is a project done by students for the Pengajian Malaysia module. This project had been running for 7 weeks, with a different topic being discussed each week. The aim of this project is to identify issues among Malaysians in various target groups. The issues are about policies, achievements, contributions, struggles, and so on, but they all come down to being a Malaysian and how they cope or relate to being a citizen of this country. The issues were discussed and posted on our Instagram page.
Week 1 - Practicing Self-Love as a Student in This Pandemic.
Members: Yuki Teh, Ang Hui Li
​In the first week of the project, Yuki and Sofie starts of by discussing how students practise self-love during the Covid-19 pandemic. According to the interview, students are experiencing a variety of difficulties during the lockdown.
Week 2 - The Changes in Productivity Levels of Students
Members: Fionna Lee, Kishan
During the second week, Kishan and Fionna discussed the changes in college students' productivity levels during the Covid-19 pandemic. They interviewed two college students to get their opinions on the topic. Through the interviews, students were observed to procrastinate and be less productive.
Week 3 - Awareness to the Struggles of Kindergarten Teachers
Members: Heatther Tan, Brian Lee
Heather and Brian talked about kindergarten teachers' struggles during the Covid-19 pandemic during the third week of the project. It was difficult for the kindergarten teacher because they had to suffer in order to make the class interesting online for the children.
Week 4 - How to Cope as an Artist During MCO
Members: Craig William, Dylann
Dylann and William discussed how artists coped with the MCO during the pandemic, as it is important for artists to get out instead of staying in. They interviewed two artists who were suffering during the MCO to get their insights on the subject.
Week 5 - Say NO to Cyberbullying
Members: Noelle, Lee Wai Lam
In week 5, Noelle and Wai Lam discussed a topic that has been widely discussed in society: cyberbullying. Two students were interviewed to get their opinions on the issue.
Week 6 - How SPM Students Struggled During The Pandemic
Members: Angelina Khong, Jeremy Ee
Angelina and Jeremy discussed the difficulties that SPM students faced during the pandemic, as it was difficult for them to be unable to attend school while preparing for SPM, which is one of the most important exams for Malaysians.
Week 7 - What's About Their Jobs?
Members: Reesa Ng, Alex Boong
Lastly, Reesa and Alex discussed some careers that are not widely known in society. They interviewed a piano tuner and a nurse about their jobs and the challenges they face during the pandemic. The reason they chose this topic is so that the general public can learn more about the jobs.
